Gibbons is the lead singer from Portished. I have always found her voice evocative and intriguing (as have many others). Here she is working with Paul Webb, formerly with Talk Talk and later O'rang. They call themselves Rustin' Man. The track is superb - the guitar riff from "River Man" is recreated with a beautiful brush drum kit supporting it. Beth's lyrics sound improvised and fully in touch with a deep emotion. The lyrics speak to the issues Andrew Keeling raised about Nick in his three part overview of Nick's albums in the Pink Moon fanzine. A great piece of music.
